Astrid Arrieta

Astrid Arrieta, PT

Astrid Arrieta is the owner and President of Suncare Physical Therapy Inc. In 1990, she is a graduate from Metropolitan University of Colombia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy. Astrid is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). With over 20 years of orthopedic and neurological experience, she has multiple specialties in areas of the spine and neck, vestibular rehabilitation, laser therapy, and core/stabilization programs.

Astrid is a certified lymphedema practitioner she uses the Vodder method this is an effective manual technique and has helped individuals to reduce and control their swelling. This is a highly respected certification in the physical therapy community.

She has also acquired her certification for the newest technology of Low Level Laser Therapy. This is an exciting new treatment that has shown incredible results in decreasing pain/inflammation while stimulating tissue healing.

She takes a very caring approach to the patients' needs and concerns. It's important that her patients have an exceptional experience with positive clinical results.

Alejandra Valenza

Alejandra Valenza, SLP

Alejandra Valenza, SLP is a bilingual Spanish speaking speech-language pathologist born in Argentina, with clinical experience working with both the adult and pediatric populations. Ms. Valenza completed her Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Florida Atlantic University, and holds a SLP licence in the state of Florida. She is also certified in Vital Stim, experienced in delivering speech and language services in conjunction with neuromuscular electrical stimulation.

Ms. Valenza prides herself as being a diverse clinician with equal enthusiasm for treating both children and adults. She has worked in numerous clinical settings including Hospital, Nursing Homes, Outpatient Rehabilitation, and Private Practice. Her clinical experience includes evaluation and treatment of expressive/receptive language disorders, Dysarthria, Multiple Sclerosis, Apraxia, Aphasia, Parkinson's, Traumatic Brain Injury, voice disorders, dysphagia, fluency disorders, articulation/phonological disorders, language processing difficulties, learning disabilities, and literacy deficits. Ms. Valenza is always able to provide the highest quality of services in an effort to assist in improving the quality of life of her patients. In her spare time she enjoys diving, opera and traveling.

Judith Sevilla

Judith Sevilla, PTA, LMT, CLT

Judith Sevilla is a passionate therapist and takes great pride in offering the best of care to every patient. Judith graduated from Miami Dade college in 2007 with an Associate's degree in Applied Science as a Physical Therapy Assistant. Her areas of expertise are in rehabilitation with the orthopedic, pediatric and oncology department. She is also a Certified Lymphedema Therapist and Certified Massage therapist with extensive knowledge in manual lymphatic drainage for over 8 years. Currently she is perusing her Masters degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture. She is very interested in integrated health and is in her path to continue serving her community. She is constantly furthering her education through seminars and attending conferences to stay on top of the newest research.

Judith Sevilla

Ada Ricardo, PTA, LMT

Ada obtained certification as a Massage Therapist, shortly after; she attended Dade Community College where she acquired her Associate’s degree in Applied Science Physical Therapy Assistant; in 2015. Ada has a passion for improving the quality of life for her patients through manual therapy and functional exercise. Ada treats a variety of orthopedic and neurological conditions. She strives to provide a fun and energetic therapeutic experience and believes that a positive environment is a pivotal component to recovery. She has additional training in myofascial mobilization, assessment and treatment of sacroiliac dysfunctions, and trigger point techniques. Outside of work, Ada enjoys traveling, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.

Ruben Arrieta

Ruben Arrieta, PTA

Ruben graduated from Miami Dade College Community and Technical College where he attained his Associate’s degree in Applied Science Physical Therapy Assistant; in 2016.He has an special interest in balance dysfunction and geriatric patients. Currently he is pursuing his certification in vestibular rehabilitation. Ruben is also passionate about practicing in the field of orthopedics, including treatment of low back pain, sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, balance /vertigo difficulties, and work related injury. He utilizes hands-on therapy techniques to decrease joint and soft tissue restriction, and individualized exercise prescription to maximize strength and function. He has a whole body treatment approach, addressing the underlying causes of pain and dysfunction. He believes strongly in education as a core factor in treatment, enabling the patient to better understand how their posture and movement patterns affect their wellbeing. He also enjoys the teamwork of the staff and the positive work environment. Outside of work, Ruben enjoys spending his time with his family. He also enjoys working out, and reading.
